Retail is about energy, commitment and understanding the customer. Without the customer returning to the store, sales remain flat. Without the staff interacting enthusiastically with the customer, repeat business fades away. It is this equation of the sales team, the customer and energy that grows sales. Through developing teams that want to sell, in a positive and motivating environment I have grown sales in various European stores. Investment in sales staff and front line managers is crucial to the success of retail. A trained and motivated team means lower staff turnover, better morale and an improved customer experience. I am fluent in French Qualified CIPD Certificate in Training Practice and a CIPD member. As a store manager in Habitat Dublin I grew sales by 15% with a turnover of 10m Euros. I introduced company wide best sellers and impulse buys I believe that success depends on measurable results. These include conversion rates, average transaction rates and bottom line sales targets.
